What qualifies for continuing education?

In an effort to make earning continuing education manageable for members, the AMEA recognizes a variety of continuing education programs and opportunities including completion of self-study appraisal programs; attendance at auctions, trade shows and industry conventions; participation in appraisal seminars and other education programs produced by appraisal organizations; having an article published in a trade magazine or newsletter; and many other education avenues.

What continuing education does AMEA offer?

AMEA hosts numerous opportunities for continuing education throughout the year. The AMEA webinar program is a complimentary member benefit. Webinars are presented multiple times a year on a variety of topics and provide an easy way to earn hours from the comfort of your home or office.  In order to maintain your Certified Equipment Appraiser designation, a member must complete the USPAP course. AMEA hosts 7-hour and 15-hour USPAP courses in the spring and fall for the convenience of the members. Lastly, AMEA presents their annual AMEA Appraisers’ Forum in March of every year.  The 2-day forum for the machinery & equipment appraising industry provides premiere speakers, networking and educational offerings. This event is a great way to earn 20+ continuing education hours.
