As the AMEA endorses the Uniformed Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), we encourage all members to take the USPAP course and testing. USPAP is the generally accepted standards for professional appraisal practice in North America, and contains standards for all types of appraisal services. It was developed in 1987 by an Ad-Hoc Committee of The Appraisal Foundation, a Congressionally authorized, non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of the appraisal professionals. The AMEA is an active member of The Appraisal Foundation Advisory Council.
